The “SUMMONS” (Mass Summons) & “SUNSHINE” (Ray of Sunshine) are two items that you don’t see often at shops, so you may want a few of each. Goth should not be a problem at this point in the game, so even if you don’t think that you need them right this second, you may as well buy one or two of each just in case. In fact, with the short duration of daylight on this stage, you might use quite a few “SUNSHINES” (Ray of Sunshines) on this stage alone!

This stage is the most useful of any stage in the entire game as far as neutral encounters go. Why? Because you can now fix any character that has Charisma & Alignment problems! How? The answer’s simple, really. Grab a White elemental weapon, stick him/her in the Front Row of a unit, and there you go! Start pacing back & forth in the immense swampy wasteland in the middle of this stage, and you will gain tons of Charisma & Alignment for killing the numerous Phantoms & Wraiths that you’ll meet. Of course, you have to make sure that the only character who can kill the offending Undead is the one that you want to do so. It’s too irritating to coordinate otherwise! This will do wonders for an ailing Opinion Leader, and can help you work him/her up to the requirements for the ”World” ending, or work him/her back up from intentional, well, evil
status...

There are not many different types of units that are deployed compared to last stage, but there are lots of each kind. Because of the shortness in the daylight cycle, you will see
many units that try to take advantage of the night. There are many different units with Undead in them, and also a few Werewolves as well! There are also scores of really low Alignment oriented character classes too, which will fight more effectively during the night. The good thing about this is that your characters will be almost ensured to gain some Charisma & Alignment in return when they defeat these nefarious creatures. Get ready for some tough fighting...

Prologue: The governor of this region is Omicron,
a disgraced former Horai bishop. He was permanently removed from his position for experimenting with the forbidden Seance spell, which involves communicating and conjuring with the dead. Rashidi recruited him and honed his skills, using the Seance spell to create the army of the dead that took over the kingdom.

There is a really important reason why you have not gone to the Tundra yet. That is because there is a special someone that you should have to face off against the boss of that stage, Mizal. You may have noticed the tag line for this stage; “Imprisonment.” The meaning is twofold. The first refers to the region that is revealed once you find the Chaos Gate, which will be elaborated upon later. The second
meaning, however, refers to one of the more powerful hidden characters in the game, Yushis. It is highly advisable to let the two of them duke it
out on the Tundra and resolves things. But. You’ve got to get through this stage first, and it’s not anything to take lightly. With that being said, it’s...
Deployment Time! First, the good news. This stage is actually smaller than the past few stages you have
done. The bad news: Upon further review, you’ll see that if you were to draw a line from the NW corner of the map and draw it all the way diagonally across the map to the SE corner, there are no towns or temples at all on the left side!! Except for the boss castle of Kander Hall, of course. This sucks royal. There will be no rest stops near the battle lines to recharge your units, so you will need more healing items than
usual.
Not to mention the fact that the enemy units don’t have a finite path that they all follow on so many of the stages you have already done. Still, just send all of the beefy fighting units that you care to use on this stage through the marsh towards Kander Hall. This would be a great stage for you to use a Zombie Dragon, if you have any. They have a Marsh or Swamp terrain type, and would fly across this big expanse of land. High Sky units that can fight will be vital here. As for your city liberating units, just send them to all of the towns that are close to your home base, and slowly spread them out as you invade the marsh.
Step 1: As you make your way, liberating the stages, a few interesting things happen. The first is
that if you have a low enough Reputation, and you don’t already have it, you will receive the “TOME” (Song of Sodoh) at the town of Ban.
This item is only available at this town while you are on the stage. After you have beaten it, you’re out of luck! The other fun thing is that you’ll get a surprise encounter at the town of Kelluman. It’s none other than the boss of the stage, Omicron! Simma down, he doesn’t want to fight you just yet. He merely wants to taunt
your troops, and comment about how nice they will be when he raises them from the dead to join his army of the unliving. Whatever, he has to beat them first!
Step 2: After liberating the various towns on this stage, you will learn that
this stage is said to have something sealed in this region. It turns out that the angel Yushis had come down to Earth to rescue her sister, Mizal. However, Yushis was discovered by Rashidi, and she was sealed away by Rashidi's magic before she could find Mizal. Poor Yushis is locked up somewhere on this stage! Luckily, you can free her. All you have to do is have a high Reputation, and visit the hidden and only Roshian Temple on this stage. Once you release her, she will ask you to accept her contract from the Gods to help her find Mizal. (And who wouldn't accept her, um, contract... huh huh... huh huh...) If you are just a supreme moron, and say no to her contract, you will lose a ton of Reputation; almost as much as a 1/8th of a full meter!! With the addition of this babe to your party, you can now continue south to Kander Hall and take care of Omicron and his army.

Ally!
Step 3: Which, sadly, is easier said than done! The long trek down to the boss castle of Kander Hall will be a long one. To help pass the time, you could have your Opinion Leader seek out the Chaos Gate to Antanjyl on the island off to the west. Other units that aren’t fighting could get the buried treasures also while you’re at it. To help plot your course, it is beneficial to have one of your sky units act as a ‘spy’ and sit nearby Kander Hall to see when the flow of units has slowed and how many units are sitting on top of the base. If you aren’t using too many evil units to fight, you might want to be quick with the trigger on using “SUNSHINES” (Ray of Sunshines) to help your “Goodly” units fight better. This is one of the stages where it might be better to have your “Goodly” units fight more than your evil ones because of all the bad guy classes in the enemy units. Besides, it can help you start to get those high level top tier classes like Sylphs & Seraphim.
Step 4: Once you get close to Kander Hall,
you should be able to push them back far enough so that you can sneak in a unit to fight Omicron. The one good thing about this stage is that there is no one special needed for a boss
confrontation as you would think. Ordinarily, when you find a special character on a stage, you use that character to fight the boss. Not so in this case. Yushis must be more worried about her sister to worry about putting this former holy man down I guess! You can always just wait until all of the units are wiped out before you assault the boss castle if you want. By the time you get close, there should not be too many left to fight!

Omicron is quite pissed with how easily you dispatched his army of darkness. Hail to the king, baby! Couldn't help it! So,
now he’s gunning for you personally to add you to his collection of dead warriors! Just a look at his class & his Intelligence should tell you that using a “World” Tarot Card is more than likely your best move. Except for Black attacks, Omicron is really quite weak to any other type of elemental attack, so let him have it with any number of cards. Even a “Tower”
Tarot Card will do decent damage! If you have the tactic set to Leader, and have everyone go crazy on him, you should win the fight no problem. You only need
to defeat the leader after all, and you should have numerous powerful Targeted magic attacks by now. The Evil Ones can be ignored, unless you bust out a “Justice” or “Judgment” card or two!

Unless you never took the time to find the Chaos Gate while you were on the stage, there’s not a whole lot of action. There is a class promotion item in it for you though!
1) Visit the former boss castle of Kander Hall, and you’ll pick up a nice “STAFF” (Undead Staff)!
This is a terrific find if you didn’t have one waiting for Saradin when he joined you after last stage!
2) An interesting note, but as you revisit the towns, they will tell you about a Devil named Galf. He was defeated by the 3 Sky Knights during the last “Ogre Battle,” and imprisoned in a region called Antanjyl. He is there waiting to regain his power and escape.
Or... Waiting for someone release him... Later, Evil Ted, Later... You’ve got more fish to fry before you can take on big & bad demons! The Tundra. awaits!
3) If you did not already find it, there is a Chaos Gate to Antanjyl on this stage. It is N of Kander Hall, located on the northern side of the
mountain on the largest island of the group. Of course, you must have the unit searching for the Chaos Gate equipped with the “BRUNHILD” (Brunhild) in order to even find it!
M.O.B.Q. Tip!
4) Now that you have beaten the stage, there is no time table at all for how long you can pace in the swamps
& marshes looking for neutral Undead to reap Charisma & Alignment from! Still, you will not want to hang around too long doing this, because every day you will have to pay the tributes for your deployed units without the help of any towns that have been liberated. Also, if you hang around too long, you will start to lose Reputation. You should be able to fix any slight loses by liberating one or two towns next stage, though, so don’t worry about it too much. Just don’t let it drop
massive amounts!
