You will constantly be bombarded with both Fire Giants & Red Dragon II’s on this stage, so you should have no trouble at all getting as many as you want. If your goal is to recruit... Any character class that has the Mountain terrain type will haul on desert landscapes also, which is why you can find these classes basically anywhere on the board. They seem to hang out by the river edges more often, though. As for the Wyrm, he’s all over the place! Too bad at this point you probably don’t need any more of any of these classes. They’ll just get in the way mostly.

There are quite a number of total units to face on this stage! 29 big ones! Most of these units will try and take advantage of the terrain, so you will see many Mountain terrain units, as well as units with Ninja & Ninja Masters in them also. The boss is one himself, after all! be prepared with Cold weapons and attacks for the fiery units that you will face. They will move fast, so don’t get careless with unguarded towns and whatnot.

Prologue: This region was used to be under the control of King Ofays and his band of Ninja warriors. The elite Prochon was the leader of his royal army. But when Rashidi began to his rise to power, he tempted the Ninja to join him. Prochon turned on his king, assassinated him, and took his place as ruler. He now serves the Empire, and Rashidi may have use of his assassin skills yet again...

Personally, I find this stage to be very annoying for some reason.
However, it is real important. As you’ve been reading these stage walkthroughs, you’ve more than likely seen along the bottom of some stages in their aftermath sections talk of Zodiac Stones, and a “TABLET” (Tablet of Yaru). You could not even begin to assemble this status item, until now. One of the pieces to this puzzle
lies on this stage. However, the entire board is basically one big mountain stage, as sand & mountains are very
closely related in terms of terrain movement types. So, you should expect to see some enemy units that are suited for sand travel, and you may want to use a few yourself. Like the last stage, the map is
not too large, which is a very nice thing for this stage...
Deployment Time! If you don’t have any competent Mountain terrain units assembled yet, go ahead and make one or two. Werewolves and members of the Red Dragon family are the best choices to round out these units. Your main goal is to get to the big lake in the middle of the map. These newly made units should be able to get there real quick, and have Canopus and other High Sky city liberators get the towns ahead of them, such as Bandle Rangeh & Kahrngarn. Once a few of them get up there, you can always “BOOTS” (7 League Boots) some of your better ground units on over. You should send your city liberators west and north of your main base. The main fighting will occur around the big lake in the middle, so these units should be safe. Have your Opinion Leader sit tight, and watch the action. If you feel ballsy, and are sure you can avoid battles, go and have him/her liberate the important hidden town of Aliabard.
Step 1: Very similar strategies to last stage, only you have more of an expanse to move across. The
enemy flying units will be on you fast, so get ready for them. If you liberate the town of Baldella before your other units have moved up far enough (like with Canopus or such unit right away), the enemy will start to send units to this town, so get ready for it. The other thing is that many of the units seem to be Opinion Leader “trackers” on this stage. What this means is that they will make it a priority to try and fight him/her above all else. So, if you have him/her move too far out away from you other units, like to gathering the items in the NE area of the map, the enemy will chance their attacking lanes and try and get to him/her! So be careful when you liberate the hidden towns of Albaminch & especially Moyare.
Step 2: There really is not a whole lot to do one this stage, which makes the
number of enemy units even more annoying. However, you will discover why Prochon himself has returned to this region when you liberate the town of Konsh. It turns out that he’s trying to locate a wise sage by the name of Gizolfi, who is in hiding at the hidden town of Aliabard. This is an very important guy, as he’s
got something really valuable for you. But you’ll only figure this out after you’ve beaten the stage, as a trip the town of Aliabard will reveal. He won’t come out of hiding until Prochon has been defeated.
Step 3: Getting your units into position is the easy part.
Sitting there fighting enemy unit after enemy unit is not, and can be very monotonous, even using your deadly units. Even by the time you’ve liberated all of the fringe towns, there will still be quite a bit of enemy units streaming out from the boss castle of Hormzussa. The super stream of enemy units will be headed SW from Hormzussa, and move across the top of
the lake, and come down the eastern side of it to try and get to Konsh. Only if you bring units up the other side, and get close enough, will he make any
type of effort to do anything about them. Use this lapse in planning by the enemy to get a unit close for a boss castle rush.
You don’t need to use any special character to confront him, so get one of your better ones ready, and...

6 Direct, 4 Targeted, & 1 Hit-All
This little guy is really really fast! He will most likely get the first hit in, which can cause some major D. It’s a good thing that his escort is only made up of normal Ninja,
or else you might be in real trouble! Load up your unit with all sorts of characters with Hit-All or Targeted attacks. He has an endless well of Hit Points for a Ninja Master, and with a very high Agility to boot, it will take some time to drain it. The damage Tarot Cards that seem to work the best for this fight are the “Chariot” & “Hermit” cards. A “Judgment” will also be pretty effective. A ”Star” Tarot Card may not be a bad idea to counteract the unit’s high Agility. Not a very tough boss battle overall.

Very important batch of item to discover on this stage. Not only is there a Zodiac Stone, but there’s a piece of the puzzle for the “TABLET” (Tablet of Yaru)!

There are some real important things to come back here for. Besides a Zodiac Stone, there’s a piece that you need to even allow you to
collect them in the first place!!
1) May as well do the most important part on this stage first! Go to the formerly hidden town of Aliabard. If you have the “QUICKSILVER” (Mercury) item in your inventory, (the one that you got way back on Pogrom Forest), you will encounter the wise man Gizolfi. He will take your “QUICKSILVER” (Mercury), but in return, you will be given the “DOUN GEM” (Gem of Doun),
which is the first of three objects that you will need to assemble in order to get the “TABLET” (Tablet of Yaru)! All you have to do is go back to the Pogrom Forest, beat the Ryhan Sea, and you’re there! So close to finally being able to get some of these Zodiac Stones!
2) If you have a real low Reputation, take a trip to the town of Kahrngarn. You will run across a band of thieves here, and they will give you the “ORC FUR” (Black Orc’s Fur). There’s no real point to this item, except to sell it for a
boatload of Goth. A nice boost for the battles to come...
3) And speaking of Zodiac Stones, there’s one on this stage! Visit the only Roshian Temple on the map. It is located slightly NE of Kahrngarn & slightly SW of Konsh. If you have the “TABLET” (Tablet of Yaru), the messenger of the Gods will present you with the “AMETHYST” (Amethyst), which is the second stone of the Zodiac.
