With this being a “one-off” stage, it’s a great thing to see that all of the staple items can be bought here. You won’t have any of these items at all, so dig down deep and buy several of each item available
here. The “CHARM” (Persuasion Spell) is
an excellent find, because there will be horders of top tier character classes in the enemy units, just wanting for you to make your very own...

It would only make sense that a place called Dragon’s haven would have only the very finest members of the Dragon family available to you. It’s too bad really, because you won’t have any time to catch any of them, what with having to fight off oncoming enemy units the whole time. but if you want to have some fun, go ahread and make a brand new unit once you find your favorite type.

Yes, you’re looking at that total number correctly!! There are 10 of each type of unit deployed on this stage, which wil make for some very crowded living quarters for your own units. Besides the sheer number of units, there are also elite classes that will be deployed in them, so there is quality as well as quantity! Even the mighty Princess will show herself!! I hope that your untis are well put together, because this will certainly be a test... Just go mad crazy style with Tarot Cards.

Prologue: This is the “JFK” conspiracy of this game. The only known way to get to this stage is
when you create a new game, and enter your name in as FIRESEAL. This is discovered by obtaining the item
called “FIRESEAL” (Firecrest) in the real game. Or, by checking online on Ogre Battle sites! When you enter in this name, your Opinion Leader will be Level 15, and the name will change to Lexar if male, and Europa if female. You will also be given a whole host of characters of various classes to make units out of. The exact classes that you get are dependant on what type of Opinion Leader you created. If you’re of the “Goodly” variety, you’ll get ultra powerful Seraphim, Monks, & Paladins, and if you’re evil, you’ll get Sorcerers, Evil Ones, & Ninja Masters. Once you beat this tage, you will get the special “Fotrune” ending, which can only be obtained this way, and your jounrey
is complete.
So, this is a one-off stage that has no long term campign at all. So, if you feel like popping in good old OB, and don’t want to worry about doing thigns perfect, but still want to mingle with some high powered classes, than this stage is for you!
|
|
There are some people out there, though the numbers are fading, that believe that there is some way to get to this stage in the normal game. Seeing as the “FIRESEAL” (Firecrest) item is the ‘hint’ to get here with a code, it would stand to reason that this is the key to getting there in the regular game as well. To get it, you must collect all four of the “legendary weapons.” They are “BOLEAS” (Boleas), “EUROS” (Euros), “NOTOS” (Notos), & “ZEPYULOS” (Zepyulos). The wrench that gets thrown in the gears however is the final weapon, the “ZEPYULOS” (Zepyulos). In order to get this item, you must not let Fogel join your rebellion. The other reason to lend any credence to the rumors is that on the stage dependecy chart that appears in the back of the SNES instruction book, this stage is an offshoot from Shiguld. So, if there is a Chaos Gate to Dragon’s Haven in this game, it would probably be on this stage. Problem is, no one has seem to have found it this past decade or so. There are also many other requirements that would possibly need to be met, such as obtaining numerous special items, but the Ogre Battle community has yet to have found out anything. So... This stage guide will continue on with the assuption that this is a one-off stage, with no lingering effects.

|
Deployment Time! For being such a tiny stage, there are really a crapload of enemy units.
There are 10 of each unit deployed, for a whopping total of 90 enemy units, so unless you have like half a day to sit and play this game, don’t expect to defeat every enemy unit! Things will get crowded in a hurry, so make sure that you rush out and liberate the towns close to your base first, such as Bright Rock & Maswann. There is no such thing as city liberating untis for this stage, so just use
whichever units are fastest. The final town of Mistaffa, however, will take some doing to clear out...
|
|
Step 1: Just because this
stage is small, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few things to find. The hidden town of Maswann will give you a “KARKANBORG” (Karkanborg) when you liberate it. This s a powerful White weapon, so equip it on one of your main fighting units. Since you don’t have any other weapons, you should try and get the two buried treasures that are on the map. The first one is right by Bright Rock, but the other is very close to the boss castle, so don’t expect to get this one any time soon.
|
|
Step 2: Just keep moving north, and butt heads against the endless flow of enemy
units. You should eventually be able to push far enough to liberate the town of Mistaffa, which is a great station for your final advance.
Sometiems a few untis will leak out along the west side of the island, so don’t stack too many units along the east. A unit of two on the Roshian Temple is not a bad idea either.
|
|
Step 3: There will be practically no stop of enemy units coming down to you.
You should make at least two or three super units. Units lined with tough Front Row classes & high powered magic users in the Back Row. You will probably want three characters in the Back
Row to make room for more mass damage capability. If you were lucky enough to get any Liches, Princesses, or Seraphim, get them in there! You may as well
send every unit you’ve got at the boss castle, because it will take quite a time to kill every enemy unit! Just
keep bouncing the enemy units more and more north, and eventually you will be one on one with Albeleo. use similar tactics to how you got up to the boss castle of Temple Shalina, which would be to use lots of defensive Tarot Cards, such as “Fortune” & “Fool” cards.
|
|
Step 4: The boss is an old friend, Albeleo, who you beat back at the Balmorian Ruins. But remember how his body disappeared after you beat him?
Well, he washed up here, and he’s back! Rumors have it that he’s looking to persuade the trope of dragons that dwell in this region to join his unholy cause. Time to put him down! Since you have no special characters, just use any old unit for the battle.

After a long and drawn out approach, you should be more than ready to handle this unit. Granted, Albeleo is well guarded, but a simple “Fool” Tarot Card is all that you need to get rid of all the Evil Ones. Any Hit-All attacks and cards will work fine, as Doll Masters are not known for their defenses. So, just sit back, and fire away!
